THINGS TO DO
SURROUNDING THE COTTAGE
The cottage is perfectly located with the Pembrokeshire coastal path joined straight out of the garden gate. This western edge of Wales has stoney coves, white sand beaches and caves to explore. You can see plenty of seals, sea birds and if you're lucky, porpoises and dolphins.
A short walk from the cottage is Porth Lisky, a beautiful quiet beach, which is perfect for rock pooling and a peaceful spot to relax, as there is no vehicle access. There's the scenic harbours of Porth Clais, Porthgain, Abereiddy and Solva, and nearby beaches, Whitesands and Newgale.
From the coastal path you can enjoy the outstanding views of Ramsey Island, where the bird life is abundant, guillemots, gannets and cormorants to name a few, take binoculars on for a sighting of the Islands famous "Batchelor's bay" always packed with seals! Boat trips run to the idea to explore the nature reserve.
St David's is the smallest City in Britain and just 10 minutes drive away, it's known for its majestic 12th Century Cathedral and the ruins of the Bishops palace. There are galleries, shops, restaurants, pottery studios and wooden mills nearby as well as a local farmers market on every Thursday in St Davids.
Pembrokeshire is an adventure playground for coasting, rock climbing, sailing, surfing, kayaking, horse riding, golf, fishing and plenty more, outdoor activities to suit everyone. There are also children's playgrounds, a bug farm and kitchen with insect observatory, nature trails and foraging courses.
The cottage has everything you need and St David's offers the rest. This is truly a great location to enjoy through all seasons, BBQ and beaches in the summer months and winter walks and the log burner in the winter months.
